My Handmade Christmas part 3

Advent calendar. Children love advent calendars. They are so excited to open a small box, sachet or door every day from the 1^st of December until Christmas day. You can fill the calendar with chocolate, small presents or activities ideas.

Here is an easy tutorial for making one.

You will need:

1. Driftwood or branch
2. Twine
3. 24 small brown
4. Stencil and marker
5. 24 Pegs
6. A branch of fir or cypress or eucalyptus etc
7. Small chocolate or candy
8. 24 activities printed on small cards (optional)

Method

• Write the numbers from 1 to 24 on each envelope with the marker and stencil.
• Fill each envelope with a candy or chocolate and the activity cards

• Hang the 24 envelopes on the driftwood with the twine.
• You can hang the whole thing on the wall. Not too high so that your child can reach it.
