It’s Summer + slides are in fashion + I enjoy creating = A brand new pair of slides in 15 minutes! An equation that you don’t need a science degree to solve! Let’s get started then.
My DIY slides
You will need:
- A pair of plain slides
- 2 pieces of stiff cotton 44cm x 25cm
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- Pins, thread and needle
Method:
- Fold the two pieces of fabric in the middle lengthwise, right sides together
- Sew along the two sides leaving an opening on the short third side
- Turn
- Trim the corners
- Hand sew the opening
- Wrap the finished fabric around the top part of the slide and make a single knot
That’s it!!!!
Extra tip:
You can make several colors of fabric and change it according to your cloths! One pair of slides, multiple looks!!!
